Before Submitting a Copyright Notice

Please consider whether the disputed material may be authorized by the copyright owner, licensed, in the public domain or permitted by an exception or limitation such as fair use. If you are uncertain whether material is infringing, consider obtaining advice from a qualified legal professional before submitting a notice.

Submitting knowingly false or materially misleading information may have legal consequences. SurvivalRace.co does not determine private ownership disputes and cannot provide legal advice to either party.

How to Submit a Copyright Notice

Submit your notice through our Contact Us page and use DMCA Copyright Notice as the subject. Your notice should be written clearly and should include all the information listed below.

  1. Your signature: A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  2. Identification of the protected work: A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed. If one notice covers multiple works, provide a representative list.
  3. Identification of the disputed material: The exact URL of each page or file you want reviewed, together with enough information for us to locate the material.
  4. Your contact information: Your full name, mailing address, telephone number and a working email address.
  5. Good-faith statement: A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. Accuracy and authority statement: A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

You may use the following wording for the final two statements:

I have a good-faith belief that the use of the material described in this notice is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.

I state that the information in this notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Please identify specific URLs instead of providing only a homepage, search result or general domain name. Complete information allows the report to be reviewed more efficiently.

What Happens After We Receive a Notice

When we receive a sufficiently complete copyright notice, we may:

  • Confirm that the reported material can be located.
  • Review whether the notice contains the necessary information.
  • Request clarification or missing information from the sender.
  • Remove or disable access to disputed material when appropriate.
  • Notify the person or provider associated with the material when applicable.
  • Keep a record of the notice and actions taken.

We may forward a copy of the notice, including the claimant’s contact information, to the person responsible for the disputed material or to relevant service providers. Do not include information that is unrelated to the copyright claim.

Acknowledging or acting on a notice does not constitute an admission of infringement, liability or ownership by SurvivalRace.co.

Incomplete or Invalid Notices

A notice may be delayed or rejected if it does not identify the protected work, does not provide exact URLs, lacks required statements, contains no working contact information or does not demonstrate that the sender is authorized to act for the copyright owner.

Complaints about trademarks, privacy, defamation, contractual disputes or general dissatisfaction are not copyright takedown notices. Please submit those concerns separately through our Contact Us page with an appropriate subject.

Counter-Notification

If material associated with you was removed or disabled because of a copyright notice, and you believe the action resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification.

A counter-notification should include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the URL where it previously appeared.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your full name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States federal district court or, if you are outside the United States, the applicable judicial district for the service provider.
  6. A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person’s authorized agent.

Submit a counter-notification through our Contact Us page using DMCA Counter-Notification as the subject.

Where legally applicable, a valid counter-notification may be forwarded to the original claimant. The disputed material may be restored after the applicable waiting period unless the claimant informs the relevant service provider that court proceedings have been initiated.

Repeat Infringement

Where appropriate and technically possible, SurvivalRace.co may restrict or terminate access for users, contributors or providers who repeatedly submit or make available infringing material. We may also remove repeated links or files associated with substantiated copyright complaints.

Misrepresentation

Copyright notices and counter-notifications are serious legal communications. A person who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation about whether content is infringing, or whether content was removed by mistake, may be responsible for resulting damages and costs under applicable law.

No Legal Advice

This page provides general information about our copyright-reporting process. It is not legal advice and does not replace the requirements of applicable law. If you are uncertain about your rights or obligations, consult a qualified attorney.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal, operational or contact-process changes. The current version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

Copyright Contact

Copyright notices and counter-notifications can be submitted through our Contact Us page. Use a clear subject line and include all required information in your message.
